Friends of the Bernardsville Public Library
What We Do
In 2016, through your generous donations and participation in our events, the Friends of the Bernardsville Public Library raised over $51,000, with the great majority of the funds going directly to the library. There are over 10,000 Bernardsville Public Library cardholders and through your gifts, the Friends provide them with:
• Children’s programming
• Summer Reading program
• Toddler computers
• Volunteer youth recognition
• Books for our book club bags
• Books for the homebound
• In-library access to Ancestry.com
• Online book club
• Rental books (for those who can’t wait for the latest best sellers!)
• Senior luncheon and entertainment
• Sundays At Three concerts
• Volunteer and staff recognition during National Library Week (April)
• Printing of the bi-monthly newsletter
• Movie licenses
• Museum passes
Together with our Library Executive Director Alexandria Arnold, we explore where our support can make a difference. What you give makes a difference to the breadth and type of programs we can provide, so please join us now.
The library, a cornerstone of our community, offers essential services in support of our school-aged children, our teens, and life-long learners who explore the world through books, DVDs, Playaways, online magazines, and a dynamic series of presentations, events and programs.
The Friends welcome all volunteers offering time, support in attending programs, and through fundraising. Come join us for in library celebrations during National Friends of the Library Week in October. Making a donation to the Friends or volunteering automatically makes you a member of the Friends group. If you are interested in serving on the board, please email us at Friendsbernardsvillelibrary@gmail.com.
Thank you for your continued support of our award-winning library.
