Friends of the Bernardsville Public Library

What We Do

Formerly called Bernardsville Library Association (BLA), Friends of the Bernardsville Public Library is a not-for-profit community group that assists and promotes the public library of the Borough of Bernardsville. Through your tax-deductible contributions, we provide programs and services for the library that cannot be funded through the library’s annual operating budget. Everyone who contributes time or money to the Friends or to the library is a member of the Friends, which is operated by an annually elected board of directors.

Commemorative Bricks Are Available for Purchase Again

The Friends of the Bernardsville Public Library are selling commemorative bricks to raise funds for the library’s special needs in 2013. The purchase of a brick is a permanent contribution to the library and, at the same time, allows donors to recognize a family member, commemorate a special event or milestone, honor a special person, or remember a loved one.

“We are offering bricks again because they are a popular way to support the library,” said Roni Larini, President of the Friends. “They make wonderful gifts and also help the Friends fund programs and library resources that help make Bernardsville Public Library a STAR library year after year.”

The cost of purchasing a brick for the garden courtyard is $250 and for the entry walkway $500. This is the same as when the library opened more than 12 years ago. To purchase a brick, pick up a form at the library. For further information, call the library at 908-766-0118.
