A former teacher and now president of the non-profit Association of Language Arts Teachers of New Jersey, Ms. Clements will explain how the new standards will impact your children’s education, what new skills will be required and assessed, what to expect from your children’s teachers, how to help with homework, and how to guide your children over the new challenges and toward their academic goals. High Tea with the Library Friends

teacupSave the date! Join us for high tea, tea sandwiches and scones as well as pastries. This is a library fundraiser hosted by the Friends of the Bernardsville Library. The cost is $25 for adults; $20 for children under 12 years old. Tickets will be available at the Circulation Desk or by mailing a check, payable to the Friends of the Bernardsville Library, to the library at 1 Anderson Hill Road. More details will be posted in October.

Gluten-Free Holidays

gluten-freeNicole Cerillo, RD, Celiac Program Clinical Coordinator at the Kogan Celiac Center of Barnabas Health, will speak about going gluten-free for the holidays and how to navigate the diet (and all those holiday parties) with ease. Ms. Cerillo will share some great tips about how to create simple, healthy gluten-free dishes that the whole family will enjoy. Recipes and samples will be provided.
