Bernardsville Green Initiative (BGI)

BGI was created by the Bernardsville Environmental Commission to promote energy efficiency based on the state’s strategic plan and the growing awareness of green sustainable communities. BGI will focus its efforts in two main areas:

• To reduce operating costs of public buildings through incorporation of designs which result in more efficient use of energy, water and building materials. BGI will also ensure that the measures are environmentally and socially responsible.
• To provide Bernardsville residents and business owners with information on how to “go green”.
