Library Cards

To apply for a library card, bring identification showing your relevant home or work address, as outlined below, to the library. There is no age restriction for a card.

Any person who lives, works, attends school, or pays taxes in the Borough of Bernardsville shall have the privilege of using the library according to policies set by the Board.

Program-related memberships for students participating in ongoing programs will be granted at no charge for three months. Other persons may become library members by purchasing a nonresident card.

The library has reciprocal borrowing (interchange of privileges) agreements with Bernards Township, Bedminster, Far Hills, Mendham Borough, Mendham Township, Morristown/Morris Township and the towns in the Raritan Valley Federation and Morris-Union Federation. Please inquire with each library regarding specific requirements and privileges. Link here for catalogs of these libraries.
