The Great American Solar Eclipse

In August, a total eclipse of the sun will be visible in the United States along a 70 mile wide path from Oregon to South Carolina. This will be the first total solar eclipse visible from the contiguous United States since 1979. A truly rare event! Learn about how and why an eclipse happens and how to be well prepared to view the year’s best astronomical event! Presented by Paul Cirillo, a Board Member of the New Jersey Astronomical Association, which operates the largest public observatory in New Jersey.
