Sundays at Three: Free Concert
Time: 3:00 PM
Location: Bernardsville Public Library
Jim Nuzzo, singer/songwriter from Edison, New Jersey, will perform his original music. Mr. Nuzzo is best known for his baseball songs “Subway,” which was the official theme of the 2000 Subway Series between the Yankees and the Mets, and “The Game Is Over,” a cynical look at professional sports. Both songs are recognized as “cult baseball hits” and are featured in Baseball Almanac.
Mr. Nuzzo also composed a song (Comin’ Home) in the 1989 comedy “Rude Awakening” recorded by Kim Carnes which was co-written by Academy Award winner Franke Previte. He will perform some of his instrumental songs and themes and will then be joined on stage by saxophonist Dave Gonos, bassist Buddy Allen, and drummer Joe Bellia to deliver his vocal pop tunes. The many musicians who influenced him include Donald Fagen, Billy Joel, and The Beatles.
Doors open at 2:45 pm. Free. No sign-up is needed.
