Be Sun Safe!

Join us on Wednesday, May 22 at 7:00 pm to hear Dr. H.C. Haliasos, dermatologist at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in Basking Ridge, present a program about skin cancer including how it develops, its impact and how to prevent it.
Skin cancer is diagnosed more frequently in the United States than all other cancers combined. It is estimated that the number of new cases of melanoma diagnosed in 2019 will increase by 7.7%. Furthermore, the number of children, adolescents, and young adults being diagnosed with skin cancer has increased more than 250% over the past four decades. As people, young and old, get more sun exposure, participate in leisure activities and sports outdoors, and live longer, it is important to learn how to prevent this type of cancer.
The program is free; advance sign-up is requested. Click here to sign up or call the Library at 908-766-0118.
