Friday Afternoon at the Movies: "Long Shot"

Our movie this month is “Long Shot” (2019) starring Seth Rogen as Fred Flarsky, a gifted and free-spirited journalist with an affinity for trouble, and Charlize Theron as Charlotte Field, one of the most influential women in the world. The two have nothing in common, except that she was his babysitter and childhood crush. When Fred unexpectedly reconnects with Charlotte as she prepares to make a run for the Presidency, she impulsively hires Fred as her speechwriter, much to the dismay of her trusted advisors. However, sparks fly as their unmistakable chemistry leads to a round-the-world romance and a series of unexpected and dangerous incidents. Our movie series is funded by the Friends of the Bernardsville Library. Free. Advance sign-up is requested, but not required. Click here to sign up.

Sundays at Three: Gladius

Free concert by Gladius, a classical/Flamenco guitarist from Atlanta. Inspired by the great composers, Spanish guitar maestros and much more, Gladius fuses the elements into a refreshing formula—evoking the Spanish spirit, yet distinctly unorthodox, mixing influences ranging from classical to rock and beyond. In an era when expertise and originality are often overlooked in lieu of fleeting flash and flare, Gladius defines innovation as a composer and mastery as an instrumentalist—perpetually pushing the boundaries of his Baroque-Ethnic-Metal fusion—on both the classical and electric guitar. This free concert is funded by gifts to the Friends of the Bernardsville Library. Doors open at 2:45 pm. Free. No sign-up is needed.

Finch puts his career on the line when he agrees to represent Tom Robinson (Brock Peters), a black man accused of rape. Our movie series is funded by the Friends of the Bernardsville Library. Free.
