Renee Post, graphic designer and retired teacher, lives in Whitehouse Station. “To me, art is an adventure,” she says, “I experiment and explore with brushstrokes, color, texture and lighting. The exploration is always moving forward. Starting with a figure or perhaps a shape or lines, my approach to painting is expressive. Feelings, empathy, and humanity drive me to respond to the flow and viscosity of the paint. Looking at art is a dialogue between the painting and the viewer. For me, it is exciting and risk-taking, like an exploration of a different shore.” She has been painting for 43 years. Her passion for travelling has inspired her art work which has been shown at the 92nd St. Y,  and in various galleries and public spaces.
