Storm Stories

Hurricane Sandy was devastating to our area. This will be a storm that will forever be in our minds and our history.

We would like to compile the stories and oral reports of New Jerseyans affected by the storm. We want to hear how Hurricane Sandy affected you, your family, your friends, and your town.  These stories will be compiled and saved in our local history room for reflection in the future.

Bernardsville Library Serves as Multi-Purpose Center

Bernardsville Public Library after Sandy

Bernardsville Public Library opened after the storm for residents to charge their electronic devices and to use and checkout library materials. The library served as a warming center and charging station for two weeks. Hundreds of community members took advantage of these services and enjoyed a hot cup of coffee!
