Update on Library Services
June 29, 2020 // Filed under Blog
As you may have heard, Governor Murphy is allowing libraries to open to the public in July, and we at Bernardsville Library are getting ready to welcome you back as soon as possible. Please note that we will take every precaution to provide a safe building for our patrons and a safe workplace for our staff. Be prepared for major changes in operations: masks for patrons and staff members, social distancing and other restrictions in how we use the building. We’ll post our opening date as soon as it is set.
In the meantime, curbside service, also known as contactless circulation, is available NOW. You can order library materials by placing a hold through the online catalog, calling the library at 908-766-0118 between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday, or emailing the library at firstname.lastname@example.org. (If you get our answering machine, leave a message or call back.) The library will need at least 24 hours to fill your order and will let you know when you can pick up your materials.
Pick-up times will be Monday through Friday, 11:00 am to 1:00 pm and Wednesday evenings, 4:00 to 7:00 pm. Please drive up to the side entrance of the Community Room on the Anderson Hill driveway. (You’ll see traffic cones indicating where you should stop.) You’ll call when you arrive, have your library card or driver’s license available, and a masked and gloved library staff member will come out and place your items in your trunk or cargo hold, which you must then close.
Our book drop is open!
We look forward to seeing you soon!
